Origin

Non-fortified dessert wine made from Muscat grapes. Grapes are harvested and laid out in the hot sun to dry until 311g/l sugar content is reached. Cold maceration and controlled fermentation at 15ºC.

90g/l sugar content.

Tasting notes

Pale yellow colour, clean and brillant. Aromas of flowers with notes of honey and citrus fruits. Fresh, with a light smoked hint. Well balanced. Winemaker's notes.

Serving temperature: 6º-8ºC.

Winemaker

Malaga Virgen owns two wineries located in northern Malaga: Finca Vistahermosa and Lagar de Benavides which belog to the D.O. Sierras de Malaga.
The first winery was founded in 1885 by Salvador Lopez Lopez who started to grow different grape varieties: Pedro Ximenez, Moscatel, Chardonnay and Syrah. Nowadays, Malaga Virgen also makes wine with grapes coming from the Axarquia area and the west coast.
